Diana Torres is a public affairs and communications professional skilled in crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and strategic outreach. Based in the Bay Area with deep roots across Northern California, Diana has worked on high-profile political and public information campaigns that strengthen relationships between organizations, elected officials, and communities throughout the region, including in Sacramento.
Diana has held key roles in both the public and private sectors. At the San Francisco 49ers, she led external engagement strategies and supported million-dollar independent expenditures, including work tied to the Super Bowl 60 and 2026 FIFA World Cup bids. At Santa Clara Valley Water, she worked as a community outreach specialist, promoting advanced purified water and county-wide capital improvement projects. She also served as a representative in the California State Legislature for Senator Dave Cortese, collaborating with constituents, local leaders, and policymakers, and working closely with business and labor unions to bridge gaps and build consensus on legislative priorities.
Diana earned her bachelor's degree in political science from San Jose State University and holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley. During her graduate program, she completed pro bono policy and research development for the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.
